Do You Know What Medicines Are Safe To Consume During Pregnancy?

We have gathered together a list of over the counter medicines which are considered to be low risk and safe for pregnant women to take.

As there is never a 100% guarantee that these medicines will be safe for everyone, it is always a good idea that you always consult your heath care provider before taking any medication while you are pregnant.

You should also be sure that you never exceed the recommended dosage for any medication.

Problem Recommended Medication
Indigestion, heartburn, gas, upset stomach Antacids for heartburn (Tums, Rolaids, Mylanta, Maalox)
Simethicone for gas pains (Gas-X, Mylicon, Phazyme)
Cough or cold Guaifenesin plus dextromethorphan (Robitussin DM, Benylin Expectorant, Vicks Cough Syrup)
