They reported us to public health! Apparently with salmonella they follow us now to see where Emri got this. Now I have to go through my pantry and check off absolutely everything she may have consumed on October 7th, 8th and 9th! That is a long time ago! What a pain in the butt!
Wow! That really sucks ... especially since that was around thanksgiving ... did you eat out at all? Or at any family's houses? How do you track all of that?
Oh it isn't anything against me, apparently there is one particular strain of salmonella that they can't seem to track. What a pain though. I spent an hour on the phone with the nurse. The problem is that is was on Thanksgiving when this all happened and she was in contact with lots of other people and kids- from my mom and baby group, we went swimming and she was around 9 different dogs. Right now they are trying to find links to other cases- they think it could even come from the dry powder formula! This wil be a lot of work!
Wow is right I couldn't remeber what I ate for 3 days almost a month ago that's ridiculous...and then when you do report it do you have to report where you got it too that's asking a lot kind of. . .

I have to tell them anything she "may" have eaten during those days. I do use a calendar, but only for very basic things. I don't know if we ate out or had coffee at someones house! The nurse told me they are sending me a huge questionaire that I have to fill out. I even had to give them the serial number on her can of formula. It is so specific that I have to try and remember which stores I bought specific food items at. This is EXACTLY the way I wanted to spend my last week before going back to work!
i got reported too! lol they even wanted CPS to come check my house! Salmonella is a public health concern, so drs have to report it. im surpise you dr didnt let you know... we knew where kenna gt it from so i dont envy you for having to gothrough all that stuff... geez what a mess as if you habent been dealing with enough!
Important Cloth Diaper Basics
hanks to the recent "green" way of thinking, people are starting to look more seriously into alternatives to disposable diapers. Cloth diapers have come a long way over the past decade and are nothing like the cloth diapers of the past.
Returning To Work Post Pregnancy
Some women are lucky to have lots of time off after having a baby, while others need to go back to work as soon as possible. No matter how long a maternity leave you may have had to spend with your baby, going back to work can be a hard transition...one that you are not looking forward to making.
Great Breastfeeding Tips
Although breastfeeding is a wonderful experience for you and your baby, it is not one that comes without hardships. Breastfeeding at first, can be very difficult and hard to commit to. It doesn't have to be this way though.
