For a week if not more Justin has had a tendency to just chew his food and then spit it out. Well now for the past couple days he will barely eat anything at all. I wasn't concerned at first b/c Tyler was the exact same way where he would only eat maybe one meal a day and snacked the rest and still occasionally is. But I am worried b/c he is already skinny as it is and I don't want him to lose any weight.
I know the kids have been sick so he could have a sore throat but then again he still has his top 2 back molars to come in so maybe his gums hurt.
I want to take him to the dr but John and Amy both said I should wait it out...
Has anyones kids done this?

| Take him to the dr just to be on the safe side. It may be a silly phase or his mouth might hurt when he eats |

My son was doing that for a while. He would take a bit of his food, chew it and then spit it out, it was so annoying. He did that for a few weeks about a month ago. I have not noticed him doing it anymore.
But to be on the safe side I would take him in if he continues it still in a few days. |

| My niece did that for the longest time... So embarrassing sitting in a restaurant with her spitting everything out!!! You may want to sneak a call to the dr, just to see what they think, whether or not it's worth bringing him in! |

| i was told when kids go through growth spurts they tend not to eat well or sleep well. on top of the pain from teething. thats prob why. as long as he is eating alil something and keeping hydrated i think he will be ok just keep an eye on it. |

Ky does that, only she will stick her tongue out, with the food on it, and wipe it away with her hand! It is annoying and she really only does it when she isn't that hungry. I have had quite the time getting her to eat these past months, so I kinda don't push the issue as I don't want meal time to become a stressful time.
Lately we have been trying something a little different with eating arrangement as she is learning to use a spoon and fork (MESSY!!!), so I have her eat picnic style. I lay a towel out and she sits on it, without wandering, and has been so much better about eating her food! Just a thought, GL!! |

IDK, I'm kinda on the fence.. the bigger part of me says wait it out.. He doesnt seem that small to worry, the other part of me says Call the Doctor and see what they say BEFORE you bring him in to see how they feel on the matter...maybe give you some feeding tips. BIG HUGS! GOODLUCK! |
