Since there is a new section I thought we could add a new November babies place where we can all stay in touch.

I took Emri for her shots today- poor girl she cried so hard that it took 20 minutes to calm her. I didn't cry this time, but I sure felt bad.

She now weighs 12 lbs 1 oz. She is pretty skinny, but is still in the 25%. She is 24.5 inches long and made it to the 50% for height. The nurse said she is still in normal range and to only contine with breastfeeding even though my dr. said to start her on solids by 4 months. I give her rice cereal- even though they told me to start her on meat, and she seems to like it. I have to shovel as fast as I can or she cries beetween scoops.

She is doing new things everyday and has now started to make farting noises with her tongue and lips. She needs to wear a bib 24/7 cause she is one drooly little girl, but there are no teeth in sight.

I hope all the other November babies and mommies are doing well. I like to keep in touch with all of you!

AHHH Gavin is also starting to "raspberry" type noises! He STILL has not turned over!! He's gotten real close a couple of times. I roll over in front of him, put toys just out of his reach, practiced with him...not sure what else to do! He just moved up to size 3 Huggies...sad. I was hoping they would be a litte big but they ended up being a perfect size. =(

Right now hubby is really sick (strep throat, head cold) and I am just praying that Gavin doesn't get it. Hard to take care of both but I guess it's practice for when we have another one!

I was afraid Gavin was teething earlier but I think he's over whatever it was. He still gets cranky and likes his cool gummy teeth things though. Maybe it's just slowly happening.

I wanted to start Gavin on rice cereal but my pediatrician so no-no until 6 months. I am excited to start solids - I want to make everything on my own (already bought the books for it! - and I know no carrots!)

Wow Emri is a skinny butt!!! I thought Kaylin was skinny!!! At her 4 month appointment last week she was 12lb11oz, and 24.5in long! We had started her on rice cereal at about 3 1/2 months, but had fed it to her in her bottle. The doctor said to spoon feed her, the first night trying was absolute hell. She cried so hard she kept forgetting to breath... So we gave up and put it in the bottle... The next day we fed her before her normal food time (hoping she wouldn't reach the super hungry point), which helped, it has now been 3 days on spoon fed cereal, and she's doing it like a pro!!! She also makes the raspberry noise, and smacks her lips together likes shes blowing a kiss. She hasn't rolled over yet, but she's getting on her side trying to get herself over... She can move in a full circle now though!!
Had to post this... Her first time trying cereal with a spoon:

Wow Ryans a big boy, Oliver weighed 15lb 6oz when i took him to the clinic last week, he has his jabs tomorrow which im dreading. I know im doing the right thing but its so mean!!!
He isnt yet on solids as they advise you to start at 6 months in the UK unless of course they are super hungry which Oliver isnt so i will wait. He is also in the size 3 Huggies but not for much longer :0(
He has yet to roll over he gets onto his side and turns his head so that hes burying his face into the floor but the rest of his body doesnt follow lol.
Im still concerned about his head shape as it seems flat on one side and his forhead is further forward on one side so i think i will get the nurse to check it tomorrow, ive mentioned it to the health visitor and she advised me to lay him on his other side in his crib and give him tummy time on the floor but it hasnt changed it in any way so i will get a second opinion.
How are all the other Nov mummys and babys?

wow emri and kaylin are tiny lol. bet its easier to carry them around than Lucas is. at his 4 months checkup he weighed 8.75kg(19Lb 2oz)and was in the 97th percentile for weight and was 65 cms(25.6 in) long.

He is a chubby bubby. He learnt to roll over from back to front the other week and now he cant stop, and tries to sit up, if he is sitting upright enough he can push himself up and can hold it there for a few seconds before toppling over its so funny when they plant face first or flop to the sides or back.

He has been teething for bout 2 months now and they look like they will be coming through soon, Well i hope so for Lucas' sake, its been horrible for him. Nad not to mention the lovely attractive dribble rash he had on his chin.

Mellywumps, I have a friend whose daughter developed a flat patch on one side and it started to affect her features and slow her development a little like rolling etc, she wore this cute little helmet thing for a few weeks and it fixed her right up. Within a couple of weeks she was rolling and sitting and almost walking like a pro :).

Carly i did wonder about that helmet thing, ive seen them on telly. If you see Oliver from the front his head looks fine, but if you see it from behind you can see its not round and from above if you look at his ears one is further forward than the other. Im definatly going to ask tomorrow so i will keep you posted!!!

Yup Emri is a skinny butt! Mommyw, Emri actually hasn't had meat yet, but that is the "New" order of things they want us to give babies because they need the iron and iron from animals is easier and faster digested. I think that is pretty gross though. My dr. said it is only a guideline and if I give her rice cereal first to make sure it is iron fortified-which most is. I am going to a baby food making class in a couple weeks so I think I am going to tryt o do a lot on my own.

Steph, I feed Emri her cereal between feeds cause if she is over hungry she gets mad and coughs and spits it all over because she can't get it down fast enough. She loves her food though!

There are sure some big boys out there! I am in a mommy and baby excercise class and we use our babies as resistance- My friend Lana has a "little, big boy" who is 23lbs. She always wants to trade babies to do the lunges and squats. I tell her no cause I need to gradually work up my baby carrying muscles.

Mellywumps- my friend took her baby to a specialist cause his head is flat on one side and his forehead is protruding a little. She is getting a helmet for him cause as hard as she tries, the tummy time and trying to make him turn his head the opposite way aren't working that well. Sometimes the flat patches can just work themselves out as they get older, but it is best to ask.

Important Cloth Diaper Basics
hanks to the recent "green" way of thinking, people are starting to look more seriously into alternatives to disposable diapers. Cloth diapers have come a long way over the past decade and are nothing like the cloth diapers of the past.

Returning To Work Post Pregnancy
Some women are lucky to have lots of time off after having a baby, while others need to go back to work as soon as possible. No matter how long a maternity leave you may have had to spend with your baby, going back to work can be a hard transition...one that you are not looking forward to making.

Great Breastfeeding Tips
Although breastfeeding is a wonderful experience for you and your baby, it is not one that comes without hardships. Breastfeeding at first, can be very difficult and hard to commit to. It doesn't have to be this way though.
