Choosing a New Baby Car Seat

The baby car seat is possibly the most important peice of equipment which you will buy, unless you dont ever think you will be traveling with you baby, which is virtually impossible.

All across America it is Law that your baby must be in a car seat everytime she travels in a car. It is of utmost importance that you have a good quality car seat BEFORE you leave the hospital to bring your baby home. One report states that 35 babies a year are killed in car accidents on their way home from the hospital!

The law states that your baby should be in th rear of the car, facing backwards until heshe is 1 year and 20 pounds, there after the car seat may be turned around, but must still remain in the back.

Common Car Seat Mistakes

The car seat harness is attached incorrectly, too loosely or not at all.
A rear facing seat is reclined incorrectly
Car seat not fastened tightly in the seat
Car seat is too big for the baby
The harness does not fit correctly
The harness does not lie on his/her shoulders correctly, but accross the chest.

Always Keep Your Baby Safe. Never Let Him/Her Ride in Any Vehicle Without Being Buckled Up and Belted In!
