Pregnancy Pampering With Homemade Spa Treatments

Home Pregnancy PamperingPregnancy is a special time. It’s a time when there are miracles which are growing and developing inside your body with every passing moment. It’s also a time of morning sickness, water retention, back aches and just about every other pain you would not want to wish on someone.

This means that it is also a time when you should be able to pamper yourself as much as possible, and whenever possible. Now not everyone has a spa at their fingertips, although I am sure that most of you would love to, so we are going to take a look at how you can bring the spa into your own home with some treatments that will leave you feeling fantastic!

Invigorating Sugar Body Scrub

As you may have noticed on our is it safe too list that taking hot baths during your pregnancy is a no-no. Now most people enjoy a good long soak in a nice warm bath, and if you are starting to miss those occasions then you may want to look at other ways in which you can get your circulation going and relax at the same time, then a sugar body scrub is just what you need.

The ingredients:

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon honey
1/4 cup jojoba oil
1/8 cup liquid soap

Take all the ingredients and combine them together at once in a bowl. Make sure that you mix it all up together properly. Make sure your bathroom is warm and that the tub itself is dry and climb in. Gently massage your home made scrub all over your skin with either your hands or a loofah. Rinse off with warm water. This will work just as well in a shower. You can then apply your favorite body lotion to finish it off and leave yourself feeling rejuvenated.

Buddha Belly Mask

Now that you are starting to show, why not treat your stomach to a little face mask treatment of its own. Over the next few months you stomach is going to be doing a lot of stretching, and so it could really do with a little special treatment on its own.

The ingredients:

1/4 cup avocado
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
2 teaspoons molasses, preferably blackstrap
5 drops chamomile essential oil

In a small bowl, mash the avocado then mix in the remaining ingredients. Add extra orange juice if the mixture is too thick. Spread over your belly and leave on for at least 30 minutes before using a warm washcloth to rinse off

Chocolate Face Mask

this deliciously aromatic chocolate facial mask. The combination of cocoa powder and cream really refreshes a tired complexion.

The Ingredients:

3 tablespoons heavy cream
2 teaspoons cottage cheese
3 teaspoons avocado
